The determining factors in the choice of alternative institutional arrangements in the choices of fertilizer in soybean production State of Mato Grosso is the goal of the work, from an analysis of the soybean production in the country and in the State, the theoretical bases rooted in New institutional economics (NEI) that underlie what factors determine the choice of alternative arrangements in transactions of fertilizers on soybean production In addition to presenting a panorama of the fertilizer market in Brazil and in the world. The methodological procedures used, was lifting research, non-probabilistic intentional type with semi-structured questionnaire used to interview producers of soybeans, using Likert-type scale, being the variables used CN: cost of negotiation; EPR: Perceived Exposure to Risk; Air: Attitude to Risk; Conf: Confidence; ESC: Scale; through the method of Confirmatory factor analysis (Cronbach's alpha) and Equations model.
