Resumo: | ABSTRACT: Introduction: In 2020, due to the rapid spread and seriousness caused by the Coronavirus, which caused an overload in health services, on a global scale, and especially in hospitals, the countries carried out great efforts to combat the covid-19. In this sense, the nursing team is at greater risk of exposure to the virus, as they are at the forefront of performing high, medium and low complexity care. To assist in this process, nurses sought to seize various mechanisms and/or assessment scales to obtain quality and safety in the production of care and to better understand the nursing process in the pandemic period, in order to improve the systematization and the product. of care delivered to users. General Objective: To evaluate nursing care for patients with covid-19 in a university hospital in Cuiabá - Mato Grosso. Specific Objectives: To characterize the profile and working conditions of nurses in the care of patients with covid-19; Evaluate the care product through; To understand the experience of nurses in the management of care for patients with covid-19. Methodology: Mixed methods research, of the concomitant triangulation type. The initial approach was quantitative, developed to evaluate the nursing product delivered during the work shift during the pandemic period, in which the 67 participants accessed a Google forms® link and responded to 2 instruments: 1) Personal characterization and working conditions; 2) Evaluation of the nursing care product (APROCENF). In the second, qualitative stage, 19 semi-structured interviews were carried out on the management of care, concomitantly. The place defined for the study was the Hospital Universitário Júlio Müller, located in Cuiabá – Mato Grosso. In both stages of the study, the participants were nurses from the sectors that have the hospitalization of patients affected by covid-19. To analyze the quantitative data, they were tabulated in the Microsoft Office Excel® 2016 program, analyzed using the SPSS® software, and then descriptive statistics were performed. In the qualitative stage, the IRaMuTeQ software was used, with the aid of Content Analysis. The present study is part of a national multicenter project approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the coordinating center, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, and in the local CEP, of Hospital Universitário Júlio Müller. The recommendations of Resolution No. 466/2012, which approves guidelines and regulatory standards for research involving human beings, were respected. For this, two Free and Informed Consent Terms were prepared, to meet each method used. Results: in the application of the quantitative stage scale, 69.6% (n=39) of nurses rated the care as good, another 16.1% (n=9) classified it as regular, 12.5% (n=7) excellent and 1.8% (n=1) bad. In the qualitative stage, 3 classes were obtained after organizing the data, as follows: 1. Reorganization of health services and the fear of the unknown, highlighting the anguish and distance of professionals, in addition to the need for emergency hiring and expansion of the number of beds; 2. Multiprofessional Performance and the creation of Humanization strategies, identified the significant improvement of work and multiprofessional communication, in the construction of new routines, flows and standard operating procedures, in addition to video call strategies and folders; and 3. Nursing care organization strategies, which identified the grouping of care, execution of team procedures, organization of inputs by procedures, training and use of simulators. Conclusion: the quantitative study made it possible to identify that, although the evaluation was good, the performance exercised by the category to overcome the numerous difficulties was fundamental, since it involved from the right care and top management in the face of covid-19, in this way, the instrument confirms as an important tool for planning, decision making, and it is essential to emphasize that studies like these, which use management instruments. The qualitative study, on the other hand, provided the identification of aspects that can help in the work, such as: the systematization of care, the necessary resources for good care, need for training, standardized communication, humanizing actions and aspects that can make it difficult, such as overload of work, being necessary to reflect on strategies and interventions to be carried through to facilitate the attendance. In addition, it was possible to perceive the role of the nursing team in the care, even in the face of the adversities caused by covid-19, such as the difficulty in the shortage of professionals, lack of supplies, the fear of contracting the virus, which involved from the right care up to top management. The integration between the results allowed the identification of convergence and complementarities between the quantitative and qualitative studies in all aspects of APROCENF, allowing an expanded knowledge of the phenomenon studied and a greater understanding of the items, however, in the items resources necessary to provide assistance and attention to the patient and/or family member, highlighted some divergences between the assessment made and the aspects highlighted in the interviews. |
