Resumo: | The main objective of this research is to analyze the use of automation in air conditioners used in classrooms to encourage rational use of electricity. Presents a survey of the initially installed power of the air conditioners in each room, which are compared with the power required by methods prescriptive calculation of the heat load and the results obtained by computer simulation using the software EnergyPlus. In search of solutions aimed at improving on the rational use of electricity, the study presents measurements of active power in five classrooms, with a conventional drive, that is, without any interference in the system, compared to automated driving for periods of use and subsequently to drive controlled by the schedule of occupancy of the classrooms. Data were collected through measurements on distribution boards feeding conditioners. The measurement results show the operation of air conditioners out of school hours, whose significant consumption of electricity, can be reduced with the use of automation of the operation of the equipment. |
