In this research, an ethnographic study was carried out on the plurality of health meanings in the context of pregnancy within the implementation of reproductive health policies. This study took place in a Basic Health Unit that accompanied prenatal users within the Rede Cegonha program. Low-income women and the unit's technicians participated in the research. The result was achieved through the discussion of the anthropology of health and gender. In which we sought to discuss differences between knowledge in health, the plurality of meanings, cultural diversity and the construction of the social difference between people in the same place of care. The result was the understanding of the complex cultural dimension and the encounters and disagreements around the same biological phenomenon.
