Resumo: The study aims to present evidence of construct, validity and reliability of the Ball Motor Coordination Test (MBCT) for teens aged 13 to 15 years. The sample consisted of 402 students, equally stratified into both genders and age groups. Of these, 40 were part of the assessment of the instrument's reliability. The results of the studies reliability, performed using the intraclass correlation coefficient, indicated "excellent" reliability in the intra and inter-rater measurements ((≥0,999 (0,999; 1,000) e CCI ≥0,982 (0,961; 0,991), respectively). As for the results of construct validity, the exploratory factor analysis showed good levels of adequacy and adjustment of the final two-dimensional model (BTS= 0,001; KMO= 0,81; factorial load 0.51 to 0.91; commonalities 0.25 to 0.86; explained variance of 65%; GFI=0,99; AGFI= 0,99; RMSR= 0,02). Confirmation of the model, performed through confirmatory factor analysis, with X² = 60.2 significant for p<0.001 and absolute fit indexes (GFI = 0.99, RMSEA = 0.08), incremental fit (NFI = 0, 97, TLI = 0.96, AGFI = 0.99) and parsimonious fit (CFI 0.97), showed adequate fit for the tested model. As for the values of the individual classification of the tasks, it was observed, through the discriminant analysis, that the male gender presented a higher percentage of correct classification of the original cases (86.6%) and cross validation (84.1%) in relation to gender female (85.6% and 82.1%, respectively). The cutoff scores in the discriminant analysis were the same as those found in the MBCT validation process in the 10 to 12 age group. Paying attention to the necessary indexes in a process of reliability and construct validity, it was evident in the study that it is possible to qualify the MBCT as a valid and reliable instrument for assessing Motor Coordination with the ball, for Brazilian adolescents aged 13 to 15 years from both genders.
