Resumo: This research analyze the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for the construction of the concept of function by 9th grade students, it was developed by the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Mato Grosso - UFMT, in the line of investigation Education in Sciences and Mathematics, with the guidance of Prof. Dr. Marta Maria Pontin Darsie and the Group of Studies and Research in Mathematical Education - GRUEPEM. The methodology is qualitative. This project responds how the ICT through the implementation of meaningful learning of Mathematics, helps to understand the concept of function in the ninth grade students of the Institución Educativa Francisco de Paula Santander in Colombia? In this way, the research action of interpretive practice had 4 phases: planning, action, observation and reflection, developed in ninth grade students. The sample was 22 students of ninth grade of the Institución Educativa Francisco de Paula Santander. The research instruments were questionnaire, diagnosis of previous knowledge evaluation, preparation an application of activities, photographic record of classrooms, final evaluation, reports and observations. The theoretical bases were the contributions of David Ausubel with the Theory of Significant Learning; Vygotsky regarding the concept of resource; and the role of the teacher in the use of ICT in education and learning of mathematics, as elements of great importance for the students involved in technological environments, therefore they be motivate more with the classes and process of information and learning.
