Resumo: This research is a consistent plan of study about the Industrial School of Cuiabá - EIC, as regards the period between 1942 and 1965. This work embodied a dissection of distinct points related to its time frame. The guidelines were mentioned pertaining to the laws, rules, ordinances and resolutions inherent his exordium and existence. The political scene was present in the citations of Messages from State Presidents, Governors and Presidents of the Republic. Through documents, files, records and bibliographies it was possible to describe in which circumstances were succeeded by the facts investigated. The historical and geographical landscape was also reported, it is of extreme deference to figure the context in which the object stood. The current state of Mato Grosso is not in the same time frame as researched. The city of Cuiabá today is not the same as the period approached. It takes point out some characteristics of the environment in which the Industrial School of Cuiabá interleaved so that there was congruence between the research object and the time between the events and characters involved. There was the purpose of presenting a concise explanation about the history of the region. Some street names were reported, squares, men and women who were part of the history of our people, of our capital and our state. The object of study was not isolated from the scenario where acted, the time and people who surrounded it. Also a gender analysis of the Industrial College of Cuiabá students was made, contextualizing the environment where they lived. The society was submerged in a system called patriarchal. In this context, the subjects expressed "pre-defined" roles, dividing "functions" between both genders. The proceeds obtained led to a keener insight about the research object. The adversities were took under consideration, the difficulties, the background, the historical and geographical landscape and gender relations of the Industrial School.
