Resumo: | This paper has the aim of creating and evaluating the applicability of a guide of investigative practical classes about the theme water movement in plants with high school students and teachers. The activities of the guide view the development of the elements present in the method of teaching through investigation in content of Botany applied in High School. The research occurred in the Advanced Campus of the Diamantino Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT), located in the city of Diamantino – MT. The participants of this research were 24 (twenty-four) high school students of a 10th grade class, between the ages of 15 and 17, regularly enrolled in the teaching institution. Besides these, the other participants of this research are the teachers who received the educational product for validation, the ones that are administratively allocated in the public state and federal teaching system. To select the students, we established as criterion the number of students approved from 9th to 10th grade and the continuity of the student in the institution, since, historically, the contents of Botany are taught with bigger intensity in this teaching stage. The selection of participating teachers primarily accounts on as criterion the academic education in Science or Biology, besides the practice as a High School teacher. The results of this research demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the educational product through the perception showed by teachers and students. The data were collected through questionnaires contemplating parameters and features of teaching and learning through open-ended, close-ended and multiple-choice questions. The results of this research indicate that the proposed Guide of investigative experimental practices is an efficient pedagogical resource in the teaching of Botany, since it allows the teachers to work, with the students, analyses of ordinary situations, comprehend problems and challenges, besides contributing in the decision-making through the relations of the technical-scientific knowledge with the previous knowledge. |
