Resumo: The present study aimed to analyze the self-perception of competence in Physical Education and professional resilience during periods of mandatory internships with students and professionals trained in a period of social isolation. The sample consisted of 58 students, 33 women (28.18 ± 6.22 years) and 25 men (27.32 ± 6.33 years) from the physical education course of five public HEIs in the state of Mato Grosso, and in order to compare the outcome, 100 professionals trained in physical education participated, being 54 women (33.80 ± 5.93 years old) and 46 men (36.43 ± 7.86 years old). As an auxiliary collection tool, Google Forms was used, containing demographic questions for the purpose of obtaining independent variables and also the instruments chosen to carry out the study. They are: the Scale of Self-Perception of Professional Competence in Physical Education and Sports and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-10 for Brazil – RISC-10. The results revealed that, among students, women were more resilient and among trained professionals, men showed better results than women in the self-perception of competence and resilience. It is concluded that despite the context of social isolation and according to the current literature, academics of both sexes completed the supervised curricular internship and the median results in self-perception of competence (2.97) and resilience (29) demonstrate that the subjects have self-awareness and resilience
