Resumo: | This dissertation aims to analyze the considerable migration of indigenous missionaries groups in the Spanish side to the Portuguese side. With focus on the western boundary of the captaincy of Mato Grosso in the second half of the 18th century, the main issue that the present study tries to answer concerns the possible motivations of this migration. To this end, we analyze the Indians reduced migration of missions of Chiquitos and Moxos missions for the Portuguese side and its distribution by the Portuguese territory, using us of documentary sources, printed and handwritten bibliography. In the construction of this text were instrumental in the records prepared by the aldermen of the Town of Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade, the capital of the captaincy of Mato Grosso, compiled in "Anais de Vila Bela 1734-1789", which presents information of events at the border and on the interests of settlers and the administrators of the captaincy in the manpower of the Spanish missions. UPS also documentation on Public File in the State of Mato Grosso – APMT – which was transcribed and analyzed. In addition to these, we found abundant documentation scanned Overseas historical archive (AHU) of project rescue, and microfilms of Historical Regional documentation and information-NDIHR, of the UFMT. |
