O universo de Vitória Basaia : a poética da inquietação

In this study we aimed to explore the universe of the artist Vitória Basaia, from the analysis of her poetics, in order to identify her artistic program and her connections with the world. The text is divided into three chapters. On the first we point out the possible channels with which Vitória Basaia has connected to gestate her artistic work, from the mythical figure of the Great Mother, referenced by the Dictionary of Literary Myths of Americas. The second chapter deals with the relationship of the artist with the society and the environment, exposing her concern in collecting materials and transforming them, in a playful manner, into art. In the third chapter we present a catalog of a part of her work using as criteria for approximation the techniques used. We also describe in this chapter the house Vitória Basaia, her major work, a synthesis of her poetics. To support our analysis, we rely on concepts proposed by the authors Gaston Bachelard, Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Jean Chevalier and James Gibson.
