Educação para líderes comunitários : reprodução ideológica ou democratização das políticas de segurança pública?

This work studies the influence of the Promoter and Multiplier courses in the philosophy of Community Policing in sensitizing community leaders to mitigate the process of marginalization and violence in the community. Makes a brief historical and social development of the community police and studies the development of community policing in many countries who use this coping strategy. Analyzes Community Policing in Brazil and Mato Grosso. Checks the format of pedagogical courses and multiplier promoter, spanning the disciplines covered and the amount of hours / classes in each course and how many students took courses from the year 2007 to 2010. Ancora in: literature around secondary sources, compilation of existing data on surveys, monographs, theses, magazines, newspapers and books, in three types of questionnaires - one applied to managers of community policing courses of the Secretariat of Public Security of Mato Grosso, the other people who took the course community policing and company commanders Community (bases) - and in formal interviews applied to some community leaders who took the course. Objectively whether education for community leaders, in this format, resulted in an ideological reproduction or a democratization of public security policies.
