Resumo: The actual scenario political social of excessive and harmful drug consumption, mainly by people in the most vulnerable social situation, has led to different government sectors and civil society to develop strategies and interventions for prevention and health promotion, treatment and harm reduction and social health. In this context the Ministry of Health launched the Emergency Plan for Expansion of Access to Treatment and Prevention to Alcohol and Other Drugs. The Street cabinet is part of this plan and constitutes an important health public device, starting in the city of Cuiabá in November 2011. On the eve of the need to contribute to the scientific study of this reality, this Master research in Education, line search Social Movements and Popular Education Policies that brings the proposal to understand, and describe in what sense and to what aspects of the clinical strategy the Street Cabinet may perform educational, preventive and coping with the use / abuse and addiction by people on the streets, through a thick description of living this experience.
