Resumo: | In nowadays the water bodies degradation is a global problem. Its control is one of the great challenges of water resources management. Monitoring is the only way we have for assessing water quality and making water conservation decisions. To standardize water quality monitoring at the national level, the National Water Agency (ANA) created on July 2013 the Resolution ANA N° 903 (Res-ANA-903) which establishes the National Water Quality Network (RNQA) and its operating structure. The network main goal is to monitor and generate information to support water resources management and make available to society information about surface water quality. The network's objective is to monitor and generate information to support the management of water resources and provide society with information on the quality of Brazilian surface waters. Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the data quality and the usefulness of the information produced by the surface water quality monitoring program in the Cuiabá River hydrographic basin, in order to verify the adequacy of the data generated during field sampling and subsequent analysis. laboratory with the information possible to be generated from these.
