Resumo: The expansion process and urbanization of cities have been contributing to the occurrence of countless problems, with degrading and pollution of the environment. One of these problems is caused for the increasement of solid waste generation, mostly organic matter. Through adequate treatment, with composting, it’s possible to reduce considerably the quantity of waste that would be destined to landfill. However, composting present some drawbacks like compound maturation time and high-cost operationalization. In this sense, the present work consists of designing, constructing and monitoring an automated aerated static system using the Arduino platform and temperature and humidity sensors, which will drive pump systems that will aerate and irrigate the compost. Two handwashes were assembled to verify the efficiency of the automated treatment. Organic litter was deposited weekly in all streams of the municipality of Santo Antônio do Leverger-MT. The maturation process of the organic compound was monitored through physical, chemical and microbiological parameters analysis (pH, humidity, COD, among others). Gravimetric characterization of the solid waste from the rural and urban areas of the municipality of Santo Antônio do Leverger-MT was also carried out. The accelerated loop provided satisfactory results, such as reducing the maturation time of the compound and that the compound has a high index of nutrients for the cultivation of plants and vegetables.
