The sphere of school performance encompasses several forms of representation, such as coordination activities, pedagogical supervision and direction. These activities have been identified as stressing factors with negative repercussions on the health of education workers. Objective: Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the quality of life and work capacity and identify the prevalence of burnout syndrome in elementary school teachers of the Municipal Education Network of Campo Grande\MS.Materials/Methods:Cross-sectional study. The work was developed in public schools that offer the level of Elementary Education of the municipal administration, located in the urban region of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. Results: The sample consisted of 202 teachers working in the municipal education network who teach in elementary school I and II. When analyzing the domains of quality of life, the following values were found. Physical domain(60.5±13.3); psychological:(64.4±15.8); social(64.6±17.0); environmental(53.2±12.2). Most teachers rated their quality of life as GOOD (49%). With reference to the WAI, which assesses the physical, mental and social capacity of workers, the average found was 38.9±9.8. It represents moderate ICT for 29.2% and good for 70.8% of the sample. The proportion of people with good WAI is significantly higher than the proportion of people with moderate WAI. Regarding the burnout index, a significant proportion of participants with emotional fatigue (37.1%) was noted. Most participants do not show symptoms of depersonalization (75.7%) and have a high level of personal fulfillment (58.4%). The associations carried out in this sample indicate that those teachers who showed greater emotional fatigue showed less ability to work, which may be linked to more extensive workloads. Regarding the variable related to emotional fatigue in the BURNOUT syndrome, it also expresses a bad negative association with the physical, social and environmental domain of quality of life, which may be relevant to the work environment. results found and bring more answers about the situation of teachers' health in this city.
