Sentidos em versos: correlações poéticas, figuras e temas de identidade na obra de Cristiane Sobral

This work analyzes the effects of meaning resulting from the correlation between the content plane categories and the expression plane categories in the poetry of Cristiane Sobral, a poet from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The analysis enabled establishing elocution of a poetic identity of its own marked by its creation specificity in the context of contemporary Brazilian literature authored by black women. To this end, we resort to the theoretical-methodological model proposed by discursive semiotics to study the way in which meanings are generated within these texts in articulating content elements with elements of expression, resulting from semi-symbolic projections. Furthermore, it was necessary to add the semiotics of passions to the studies to support our analyses, since the passionate dimension is present in poetic texts, from which we have the perception of the “states of the subject’s soul”, explicitly or implicitly invested in the discourse. In addition to the analyses themselves, we discuss literature studies written by black women, highlighting the proposition of an Afro-descendant stylistic that permeates productions by black female authors; moreover, it was important to establish the condition of women subjected to slavery, providing a historical overview of this period. Finally, we present the semiotic analysis of the following texts from the work “Não vou mais lavar os pratos”, authored by Cristiane Sobral (2016): “Escuridão da vitória”; “Opção”; “Nzingas guerreiras”; “Escova progressiva”; “Refazendo a cabeça”; “Heroína crespa”; “Lente de contato”; and “Verdade”, in which it was possible to perceive the black identity theme construction based on a correlation between categories of the content plane and the expression plane, whose figurative essence falls on “black hair”, in a discourse which proposes exalting black women based on their identity roots.
