Resumo: This Final Course Project was developed from the author's personal interest in regional art and popular culture, manifested in sculptures and other three-dimensional creations by popular artists. The investigation focused on a popular artist from Dourados/MS, using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological basis. The research stages aimed to identify and understand how regional art, specifically the artistic production of Rozi Santos, can contribute to educational practices in schools, highlighting the phenomenon of artistic creation and its importance in the cultural and artistic formation of students. Data collection occurred through a pedagogical intervention organized into four sessions, recorded in field diaries, providing students with a practical experience of popular culture and regional art, inspired by Rozi Santos' sculptures. The data analysis revealed two thematic categories: A) The box in which the woods were placed and B) House shapes. At the end of the research, it is concluded that valuing regional art and culture is essential for preserving and disseminating local traditions, strengthening collective identity and the sense of belonging. The pedagogical intervention developed manual and emotional skills in the students, promoting self-confidence in artistic expression. It was found that regional art plays a crucial role in mediating content, contributing to teaching and learning processes and highlighting the importance of artistic projects in the school context.
