Resumo: Territorial management presents itself as a dialogue between the applied social sciences in the area of administration and the earth sciences in the area of geography. Academic research with loans from theoretical constructs from other areas tends to form new fields of activity and, consequently, looks at research in the border territory. In the sense of borrowing and appropriating new constructs, this research aims to present territorial management structured in its normative, conceptual and empirical forms. To this end, the general objective of the study is to analyze the multidimensional relationships involved with territorial management between social and institutional actors in the Brazil / Bolivia border territory in the municipality of Cáceres - MT. The conceptual path adopted permeated descriptions of: Territory; Territorial management; Family farming as triggering elements for the construction of analysis categories, guiding questions and the research problem. The adopted methodology is characterized by the qualitative approach involving the study of multiple cases in the structuring of the research protocol using bibliographic, documentary survey techniques in the pre-field and participant observation and interviews in the field. For the creation of the structure and organization of the results, content analysis will be the analysis technique used by inserting the Iramuteq software as a tool for creating hierarchical classes via the frequency of words. The interrelationship of sciences, academic areas, theories, methods and techniques are structured to try to answer the following research question: How can the integration of the territorial dimensions of the studied settlements support territorially based development strategies in the context of family farming? Among the results described and analyzed in the thesis, the intersection of promoting territorial management from the sociobiodiversity axis conveys predominance. This identified axis interconnects and permeates all territorial dimensions. However, it is described as a guiding point the consolidation of territorial management, in the strategy of instrumentalizing and planning in the short and medium term actions involving the settlements in their strengths: plant and animal production, cultural relations with Bolivians and resistance in the territory by the factor of water scarcity.
