Conducted during the pandemic period, the investigation was based on authors such as Soares, Citelli, Costa, Kaplún and Freire, passing through the relations Communication and Education, Communication and Language and Educommunication and the strengthening and consolidation of public policies in Education. It studies the legal bases and principles of the Escola da Autoria, in order to analyze, based on semi-structured interviews and official documents, the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process focused on the student's protagonism and the construction of his Life Project. Under the eyes of teachers, it was possible to identify that dialogue; the student's repertoire and the use of digital platforms and media in the classroom and in collective projects are some of the common characteristics of educommunication that are present in practice and methodology of the School of Authorship, although the concept is still not widely known. The work represents an initial reflection that intends to encourage other researchers to study the theme, to deepen the relationship from the student's point of view and contribute to the strengthening of educommunicative practices both in Basic Education and in Higher Education.
