Resumo: |
This thesis is part of the scientific praxis of language studies and seeks to bring an expansion of semiotic studies in interface with the literature. We intend to apply the concept of style of Discini (2004; 2015) in the children's works of José Mauro de Vasconcelos (hereinafter, JMV). We have, as a theoretical foundation, the discursive semiotics (GREIMAS, 1973; 1987; 1993; 2008), the studies of enunciation (BENVENISTE, 1995; BERTRAND, 2003; FIORIN, 2016), the tensive unfolding of theory (ZILBERBERG, 2011) and the studies of plastic semiotics (FLOCH, 1994; PIETROFORTE, 2019). We intend to map the enunciative project of José Mauro de Vasconcelos, from the structures of textualization that give body to the persuasive making of the enunciator in relation to the interpretative making of the children's enunciative. In this route, we propose to outline the dynamics of the discursive syntax and the grid of values that are associated with the modes of perception of the world, evidencing the passionate gradients involved in the enunciative project, which constitutes the nuances of the JMV style. We start from the analysis of children's statements, in order to propose two different totalities of discourse: a) of a memorialistic nature - O Meu Pé de Laranja Lima (1968); Vamos Aquecer o Sol (1974) and Doidão (1963); and b) of a fanciful nature - Rosinha, Minha Canoa (1962); O Coração de Vidro (1964); O Palácio Japonês (1969); O Veleiro de Cristal (1973); O Menino Invisível (1978), in order to find coherence between the units (unus) constitutive of the totus (totality). We reflect, thus, on a possible way of reading the works of JMV and the coercions that come from the marks that configure the effect of sense of daydreaming that runs through the author's children's novels. We observe the adequacy of the discourse to a supposed referent "world of things" - semiotics of the natural world, through the perception of a subject (MERLEAU-PONTY, 1961), who is impacted appreciably in a more marked/tensioned way or not (TATIT, 2019). We place the subject as the core of the research to map the points of tension that allow us to glimpse the state of soul of the subject in an alternation between the pervir (routine), which presupposes the effect of reality of the subject, and the surcoming (event), in which the subject enters into conjunction with his object-value (the daydream). We observe how the representation of social values are anchored and contribute to the effect of daydreaming resulting from what is put in the JMV novels, in an interaction between the enunciation subject (presupposed reader) and the world object in the act of reading the utterance. According to Leão and Farias (2020), JMV is one of the most translated Brazilian writers in the world. The research around it is developed, mainly, in the areas of literary studies and social sciences, addressing, among the themes, the reception of the book O Meu Pé de Laranja Lima and its adaptations for the cinema. In the last five years, the literature review in national and international research directories points to the existence of academic research related only to his first novel. Therefore, it is perceived a deletion and the lack of an expansion of literary and linguistic analysis of his other works. Given this fact, we propose a stylistic research in the light of semiotics with the objective of highlighting the typology of JMV writing, as well as contributing to the studies about style in the context of semiotic studies and the Graduate Program in Language Studies. In short, the analytical construction of this research hopes to contribute to the notion of style and a possible correlation with the concept of representation, being able to characterize a point of view in the constitution of the style. |
