This work comprehensively analyzes the Integrated Border Monitoring System – Sisfron –, a strategic project implemented by the Brazilian Army, which plays a crucial role in national security and defense, especially in border regions. Sisfron was developed as a response to the growing need to strengthen protection at Brazilian borders, integrating advanced monitoring technologies, military mobility capabilities and the constant presence of security forces. The discussion about Sisfron is essential, as it is directly linked to the National Defense Strategy (END) and the National Defense Policy (PND), which are fundamental pillars to guarantee Brazil's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Sisfron not only strengthens the State's presence in border regions, but also promotes the integration of interagency efforts, facilitating cooperation between different spheres of government and the Armed Forces to achieve the objectives of defense, security and sustainable development. Administered by the Brazilian Army, in cooperation with other security and defense bodies, such as the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue, Sisfron has its technical operations mainly in the western border, which includes states such as Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia , Acre, Amazonas and Roraima. Sisfron's impact is broad and significant, extending beyond national security to include the economic and social development of border regions. With more than 16,000 km of borders covering 11 Brazilian states, Sisfron strengthens the State's response capacity, improves public security and promotes a safer environment for the local population. Furthermore, by combating organized crime and protecting borders, the system facilitates a safer commercial flow, contributing to the sustainable development of these registries. The objective of this work is to comprehensively analyze the Integrated Border Monitoring System (Sisfron), evaluating its strategic role in national security and defense, especially in border regions. This study seeks to understand how Sisfron contributes to protecting national sovereignty, combating transnational threats and strengthening economic and social development in border areas. Furthermore, the work aims to identify the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation and expansion of Sisfron, providing a detailed view of its impact on public security, interagency integration and the response capacity of the Brazilian State. In the end, it is expected to offer subsidies that can guide public policies and defense strategies, promoting the improvement of Sisfron's effectiveness and its control.
