Resumo: |
This research is the result of two years (2022-2024) of studies in the Master's course in the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (PPGE/ UFMS-CPAN), linked to Research Line 2 - Educational practices, training of teachers/educators in school and non-school spaces school, educational practices and social exclusion/inclusion. However, the theme emerged from personal and professional concerns, as a teacher in a rural school in the municipality of Corumbá/MS. In view of the concerns, the following problem arises: Do the continued training actions proposed by the Municipal Department of Education of Corumbá/MS (Semed) supply and meet the needs of teachers who work in rural schools and water schools in the local region? Its objective is to understand the continued training, organized by Semed, for teachers in rural and water schools in Corumbá/MS. And, as specific objectives: 1) Investigate the perception of teachers from rural and water schools in the municipality of Corumbá/MS regarding the continuing education offered by Semed; 2) Raise the demand for offers of continuing teacher training actions for rural and water schools, carried out in 2023 by Semed in the municipality of Corumbá/MS; 3) Know how the organizers of continuing training develop and evaluate training actions aimed at teachers in rural and water schools in the Municipal Education Network of Corumbá/MS; 4) Evaluate whether the content of the training meets the provisions of item 7.26 of the Municipal Plan of Corumbá 2015-2025 (CORUMBÁ, 2015). This is a qualitative research study, in which data was collected through interviews using a semi-structured questionnaire; one type of questionnaire was intended for teachers from rural schools and water schools and another for organizers of Semed 's continuing education programs. In total, nine teachers and three educators who work in the management of rural and water schools in the municipal network of Corumbá/MS were interviewed (Supervisor of the Education Center of Rural Schools, Supervisor of the Education Center of Water Schools and Manager of Public Educational Policies of Semed). In total, six rural schools and five water schools were involved. The results show that such training programs, although perceived as relevant by teachers, still do not meet their expectations, as they do not meet the specificities present and listed in rural schools and water schools in the municipal network of Corumbá/MS.
