Resumo: |
Materials of the covalent organic polymer (COP) type have been used in different fields of scientific research, due to their peculiar characteristics, such as porosity and high surface area. When they have donor atoms in their structure, these materials can be applied in studies involving coordination chemistry. In the present work, a material (named tscCOP) was obtained, according to the methodology used to obtain COP-type materials, however, without the use of any type of base, unlike what occurs in the literature. For this, thiosemicarbazide and cyanuric chloride reagents were used. From tscCOP, different metallic compounds were obtained with d metal ions of the first series, namely, iron(III), iron(II), cobalt(II), copper(II) and zinc(II). Both tscCOP and metallic compounds were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermal analysis (TG and DTA). The spectra of the metallic compounds showed profiles similar to those of tscCOP, with a shift in the wave number being observed, evidencing their formation. The thermal analysis was conducted in an atmosphere of oxygen gas and the amount of residue formed for the compounds indicates the formation of the respective oxide. In addition to the characterization results, the color change observed for the metallic compounds compared to the tscCOP color (except for the compound with zinc(II)), indicates the successful formation of these compounds from tscCOP. |
