Resumo: |
Of the 4.1 million rural properties in Brazil, identified by the agricultural census carried out by the IBGE in 2017, 946,075 are managed by women; they are farmers, managers, researchers and specialists contributing to the development of activities in the field. This data demonstrates the growing theoretical and practical relevance of analyzing the insertion of women in the rural management of agribusiness. The percentages of Brazilian agribusiness, when compared to the reality of female participation in the field, lead to reflections on how dialogues between rural managers and their respective stakeholders take place, as well as what are the highlights with regard to sustainability. This dissertation presents the results of a field research that aimed to analyze the configuration of dialogues between women rural managers in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and their stakeholders and the impacts on sustainability in agribusiness. For this, data collection was carried out through interviews with two female agribusiness managers located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, using a semi structured interview script divided into four parts: profile of the manager; characteristics of the operating environment; stakeholders, dialogues between stakeholders and sustainability in agribusiness; and rural management. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis technique, with pre-established dimensions and indicators. The study demonstrates how the interviewed managers have similar profiles, highlighting the experience item, the result of extensive careers in agribusiness. The main operating environments of these managers are Atallah Group and Senar-MS. Through the indications of the managers, it was possible to identify several stakeholders and recognize those that are more relevant and exert greater influence on the performance of their daily activities. With regard to dialogues between stakeholders, it appears that they are important and affect, positively or negatively, the achievement of the goals of Senar-MS and the Atallah Group, being marked by negotiation and exchange of knowledge. In the case of Senar-MS, the “Partners” stakeholders have a greater impact factor in the manager's dialogues, while the Atallah Group's most prominent stakeholders are those linked to operational and financial processes, such as employees and shareholders. The results obtained in relation to sustainability confirmed the existence of initiatives linked to the environmental, social and economic dimensions, in the activities carried out by the two interviewees. These actions are not in an initial state, they have been planned, structured and applied in practice for some time, both in the Atallah Group and in Senar-MS. |
