Resumo: |
The research carried out refers to the elaboration, development, and evaluation of a teaching material (educational product) intended for secondary education in the discipline of Chemistry, aiming to determine the numerical value of Avogadro's constant using the electrolysis process linked to the content of electrochemistry, covering the basic concepts of electricity, quantity of matter and oxidation state. The proposal corresponds to an e-book which presents an experimental script for determining the numerical value of Avogadro's constant, together with a series of suggestions for articles, web pages, auxiliary experiments that highlights important points of the content in electrochemistry (galvanic cells and electrolytics), oxidation state and notions of electricity. This e-book aligns with the principles of meaningful learning in the view of Ausubel and Novak and is intended to help educators (teachers) who work in the discipline of Chemistry, regardless of their academic background, also serving students, as in addition to presenting The experimental script includes a step-by-step guide for its development. As an integral part of qualitative research of an applied nature, the e-book was evaluated using the evaluation instrument, which consists of open questions that provide greater freedom to evaluators. The evaluation took place based on notes made by teachers from the state education network of Mato Grosso do Sul who work in the Chemistry discipline, our Ah doc consultants, regarding the possible use of the e-book as teaching material. The data obtained was analyzed through content analysis following Gil (2002) guidelines, using the a priori categorization “positive aspects”, “negative aspects” and “suggestions”. This evaluation showed that the product has potential as teaching material for both teachers and students, with the consultants highlighting simple and clear language as positive points; the suggestion of various contents and how to work with them, the inclusion and suggestion of various technological resources; conceptual maps, among others. But lacking adjustments for the final version. It is hoped that this e-book can contribute as a pedagogical resource to educators to facilitate student learning in the contents of electrochemistry, electricity and quantity of matter, also highlighting the various applications of electrochemistry in everyday life, motivating reflection on learning meaningful and experimental activities in the classroom as a viable approach in teaching practice. |
