Resumo: In Beach Tennis, like other sports, there are technical actions used in the game, denominated fundamental skills. These skills consist of techniques known by teachers, coaches, and athletes, however, not all fundamental skills are called by the same name and others do not have a name. Objective: The present study aimed to identify, name, and validate the fundamental skills of Beach Tennis (BT) with experts, coaches, and athletes. Design: This study used a Delphi Study model. Participants: The expert panel consisted of 120 BT coaches/athletes, of both sexes, from the A and Pro (professional) categories. Intervention(s): To identify the fundamental skills, we carried out a bibliographical search and observed amateur and professional games. We made name suggestions for the fundamental skills observed that were not in the literature and created subcategories of the other, previously described fundamental skills. For data collection, we built an instrument, using the Google Forms tool. Design: Delphi Study. Main Outcome Measure: Through observing games and searching the literature, we found 49 fundamental skills that are used in BT. These skills were then sent to the expert panel who were asked to agree or disagree with the names proposed for them. Results: All the proposed fundamental skills reached a rate of agreement greater than 75%. The final consensus resulted in the identification and nomination of 15 new fundamental skills, 12 fundamental skilsvariations, 17 fundamental skills already described in the literature received new nomenclature and 5 fundamental skills kept the same name. Conclusions: This study contributes to the growth of sport, as it allows BT to have its own validated nomenclature of fundamental skills, allowing researchers, athletes, teachers, coaches, journalists and viewers to consult these fundamentals in articles and books, in television programs, in training and classes, or in other discussions relevant to the modality.
