Resumo: |
The innovation culture is a type of organizational culture that fosters a corporate environment focused on valuing creativity, innovation, promoting continuous learning, mutual support among employees, and striving for constant improvement in service delivery to users. Knowing that this type of culture is easily found in universities, the aim of this study is to assess the level of innovation culture at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul, based on the perception of administrative staff. To do this, a quantitative research was conducted using the survey technique. The sample consists of 107 public servants selected for accessibility. The data collection instrument was semantically and statistically validated through Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and the data were analyzed using measures of central tendencies and descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that employees more readily associate the presence of innovation culture with the innovation strategy factor in the University's External Context Relationship, in actions aimed at extension, for example, and that internal context items require attention for the improvement of administrative practices. This research contributed to the development of a diagnosis of the level of innovation culture for university management. With the diagnosis conducted, it is estimated that the institution will be able to leverage its strengths and create an action plan for its weaknesses, so that process optimization can be enjoyed by its users and society in general. |
