The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vitro compatibility of adjuvants on fungi Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae. Vegetative growth (cm) and production and germination (%) of conidia of the entomopatgenci fungi Beauveria bassiana, strains IBCB 66 and PL 63, and Metarhizium anisopliae, strains IBCB 425 and E 9, were evaluated in the presence of different adjuvants. The adjuvants were added to liquid potato-dextrose-agar (PDA) culture medium (40ºC) according to maximum and minimum dosages recommended by manufacturers. After PDA culture medium solidification, four petri dishes were made, inoculating the fungus at three equidistant points, totaling 12 colonies for each treatment. Control treatment contained no adjuvants. After inoculation, the petri dishes were identified, sealed and placed at B.O.D (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) at 25±1°C, 70±10% relative temperature and 12 hours of photophase during 10 days. The experimental design was completely randomized (DIC), composed of 16 treatments, with six replications for vegetative growth and conidia production, and four replications for germination for each fungus. Data for vegetative growth and conidia production and germination were submitted to analysis of variance, and the means were compared by Scott-Knott test (p<0.05). The compatibility factor (biological index) was also calculated. For B. bassiana, seven adjuvants were classified as compatible for strain IBCB 66 and ten adjuvants were considered compatible for strain PL 63. For M. anisopliae, five adjuvants were classified as compatible for strain IBCB 425 and eight adjuvants were classified as compatible for strain E 9.
