Resumo: Electric vehicles are once again in evidence, and the increased penetration of this type of vehicle in the national fleet requires studies to assess the impact that these vehicles can cause. In addition to individual use, the electric vehicle can be used to transport people and loads. The use of this type of vehicle requires an adequate and strategically located infrastructure. The inclusion of solar energy in charging stations works as a good strategy to unite technologies in search of greater benefits, in addition to the financial one. This work consists of two studies: the first discusses the formation of prices and the variation of fuel types, with a comparative analysis of the fueling/recharging cost for some models of light combustion and electric vehicles. As a result, it was observed that the cost of recharging electric vehicles is much lower than a vehicle with a combustion engine fueling with ethanol or gasoline; and the second study seeks to highlight the positive impact that a fleet of electric buses can have on the public transport network. By replacing part of the fleet of conventional buses in the city of Campo Grande/MS, the benefits and financial impact caused by the adoption of electric buses are demonstrated.
