Resumo: | This work has the purposc to investigate variation in gender agreement in the pronominal anaphora verified in constructions on the variety of the portuguese language spoken the "baixada cuiabana", in the research rely fundamentally in the variation theory proposed by labov(1972, 1981 and 1982), as well as in the Herzog (1968) and revised in labov (1994 and 2001). Other important contribuitions occur not only from the research of semantic base by experts as tasmowski-De Rick and Verluyten (1982, 1985), Peter Bosch (1987)and Bernd Wiese (1983)and from studies developed in the ambit of the generative theory, as the one by menuzzi (1999), all of them aiming at the discussion of problems arising from agreement in cases of pronominal anaphora, but also from studies relative to the grammatical gender as the work by corbett (1979 and 1991), to all languagens, in general , and the study by câmara Júnior (1972 nd 1977), the one by Martin (1975) and Pereira (1987) with specific focus on Portuguese. The quantitative methodology was used for data exam, for being considered more appropriate for the investigation of linguistics variation phenomenon of the labobiam Kind, for which the VARBRUL programs have been used in the version organized by Pintzuk (1988). The research developed hereupon presents an analysis of the variation on gender agreement proper of the speech of the users of the "baixada cuiabana" dialect, arranged in three age ranges and three schooling levels, meanig to insert the research in the discussion of the process of linguistic change which the variety under study is undrgoing. |
