Resumo: | ABSTRACT This study deals with violence against women, living in the territories of fields, forests and waters, which occurs in intrafamily relationships and between intimate partners. The dissertation aims to study the perception of Brazilian women in the fields, forests and waters about violence against women and the possibilities of care in the services of the network of protection for women in situations of violence, in these territories. This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. For this dissertation, we used the information from 34 interviews conducted with Brazilian women in eight municipalities selected by the Ministry of Health, in the macroregions of Campo, Floresta and Águas. Women characterized violence against women as domestic violence that is expressed by physical, psychological and sexual violence and can be committed by children or partners. Domestic violence was associated with sexist culture, religion, alcohol and drug abuse, women's submission to men, women's behavior in certain spaces. On the possibilities of coping with and overcoming violence, they highlighted the importance of talking wheels and support groups, some sought to study and act in the community, others sought to build families without repeating the family situations experienced. The stagnation of public policies to defend women and confront violence does not compact with the will of Brazilian women who have suffered or witnessed violence in their realities, since in their territories they organize and mobilize to defend themselves and fight violence. |
