Resumo: This dissertation Actors Work in Childrens Theater: an approach of building an organic performance is the registration of a research that studied the actors task of playing for children. This process involves the actors performance related to several theatrical elements such as the staging, the spoken text, setting, costume, lighting and sound design. However, we focus on the one who really goes to the battle front and makes all the things work: the actor. This research aims to study the actors process of creating performance in childrens theater. Thus, we assume that some notions of Constantin Stanislavskys Active Analysis are of great support for this kind of theatrical acting. One of the main goals of this approach is to improvise the plot of the play using physical actions body and voice without knowing the text by heart. The improvisation practice aims the construction of concrete images, motivated by visualization exercises which help the actor to reach truth, spontaneity and an effective communication with the audience, in this case, children.
