Resumo: | We discuss the Program of Decoherence and its relation with the Measurement Problem in Quantum Mechanics (QM) through Zurek_s spin bath toy model. We present the Two State Vector Formalism due to Aharonov and some underlying concepts, such as Weak Measurements and Weak Values, including a retrocausal interpretation between subsequent measurements in time, as an example of an interpretation where the collapse of the wave function is ontological and inherent to the theory. Therefore we discuss the possibility of the Measurement Process being more fundamental than the temporal unitary evolution of quantum states. We also present a general explanation due to Castagnoli, for the greater computational efficiency of quantum algorithms in comparison with their classical analogues as an additional argument for retrocausality in QM. We analyse Castagnolis proposal in terms of the two-vector formalism. We discuss the possibility of time and unitary evolution in QM be emergent phenomenon. Our argument is based in part on the measurement-based quantum computation (via a simplified model) and some other results found in the literature. |
