Resumo: | The results of an experimental investigation of the mechanical properties of high-strength concretes, produced using three different cements, two different coarse aggregates and condensed silica fume are presented. Tests were performed on different concrete mixes, having a 28- day compressive strenghth of 50, 60 and 70 MPa, and ages ranging from 3 to 180 days. The relationships between the uniaxial compressive strenght, the secant modulud of elasticity and the flexural strenght were investigated. Analysis of the results show that the mechanical properties have different strength developments. Additionally, expressions relating the modulus of elasticity and the flexural strenght to the compressive strenght were derived. Good correlations were achieved between these relationships and the experimental results found in the literature. |
