Resumo: | The Archivology course at the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG was started in 2009 as a way to meet social needs, regarding the right to information and memory, among others. However, there is little information on the aspects of this professional market in training. With few classes formed, it is difficult to raise this panorama, but since the beginning of the course there was a great demand of institutions for trainees, signaling indications to be researched. Therefore, the general objective of this work was to know the context of the work of the trainees of the UFMG Archivology course, from the point of view of the contracting institutions, regarding some concepts and practices, and of course graduates, in order to identify possible labor market implications for the archivist regarding their insertion, recognition and visibility of their work. The importance of the research is justified by the scarcity of this type of information post-creation of the undergraduate course at UFMG, thus contributing to the construction of scientific knowledge in the area, subsidizing information on how interns worked within the institutions, as these institutions see the archivist and his object, to investigate with the graduates the professional market with which they came across, identifying the influence of the course in this "new" niche of work, and consequently to know and to foment the labor process in development. In view of this context, the research problem that was posed was the reflexes in the labor market for the archivist, from the apprehension of some concepts and practices raised in two niches: the contracting institutions of trainees of the course of Archives of UFMG and the graduates of the course of Archivology of UFMG. In relation to the methodology, the research is qualitative of a basic nature, of an exploratory nature. The procedure used was the field research, using the techniques of data collection with the application of questionnaire to the graduates and interview to the contracting institutions of trainees. At the end of the research it was concluded that the labor market in Belo Horizonte, through its public and private institutions, needs to evolve and advance with regard to concepts and practices related to archives and archivists, since the understanding is incipient today, Generally. The UFMG Archivology course plays a strategic role in this change of scenery, for this you need to encourage your students to work with archival marketing, encouraging future professionals to show what they come in this job market |
