Resumo: The use of information technology to automate process of biomedicine and biochemistry research and others result in a very large amount of data. Currently, the major challenge is the efficient and accurate storage and management of data. Thus, it is common to use Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to accomplish those tasks. Usally the available LIMS have its operations restricted to a specific area. In the other hand, SIGLa LIMS garantees flexibility because it is based on workflows which are modeled in the Together Workflow Editor tool. The system SIGLa was upgrated to another system, Flux, which is workflow based too. These systems can aggregate different views as part of its code. Views are different forms of seeing the set of data stored in order to run complementary tasks to those provided in the experiment execution. The Flux LIMS that is adaptable to different laboratories was adapted with views. These views are Raw Material Control, Scheduling and Input and Output. The Raw Material Control view allows the definition of four kind of workflows: cadastre, prepare and visualization of raw material and cadastre of prescription. With these types of workflows it is possible the management of all raw materials needed for performing an experiment in laboratory. The Scheduling view aims to allow mechanisms of warning and scheduling the activity execution. And the Inputs and Outputs view defines the use of atomic and non-atomic inputs and outputs and their tracking. As model of application of these views, there is the FluxTransgenics LIMS that manages all data and process of the laboratory of production of Genetically Modified Organisms (OMS) at Embrapa Milho e Sorgo (MG-Brazil).
