Billets of copper were processed under four passes of equal channel angular pressing.The mechanical properties of material were evaluated through compression e microhardness tests. The microstructures of samples of cross and longitudinal sections were analyzed. Furthermore, strain distribution was achieved through finite element and the experiemental methods and both were compared. The results indicate grain reduction and improvement on the mechanical strength of copper after ECAP.
