Resumo: The concrete quality control is usually associated with compressive strength. In special cases, it is controlling the porosity, wear resistance, the expansion due to reaction alkaline aggregate, resistance to attack by chloride ions, sulfides and resistance to carbonation. Most of these features is evaluated by destructive methods, but there are other methods that can assess the quality of the concrete, as the analysis of the electrical resistivity. In the case of chloride ions, sulfides attack and carbonation, it is possible to assess the quality of the concrete through the surface or volume resistivity test. The surface test is widely used to study structures in situ while the volumetric restricted to testing specimens for quality control of concrete. There are few data on the variables affecting these tests, especially the volumetric method. In this context, this work was to study the correlation between the two methods. To this end it is necessary to examine the variables affecting the tests and the results show that the variables that most affect the test temperature and moisture content of the test body. It was also found that the surface resistance of approximately 2.5 corresponds to the volume resistivity
