Resumo: | This work focuses on the movie criticism in the Brazilian press, analyzing the texts written about four movies ( The motorcycle diaries, Elephant, The prisoner of the iron bars and Troy), in the first semester of 2004. During this period, we have observed the texts of four vehicles: a daily journal ( Folha de S. Paulo), a weekly magazine ( Veja) and two monthly magazines ( Set e Bravo!). We consider movie criticism as an intersection space between the journalistic and cinematic dispositifs, that determine it. These dispositifs are performed by the critics mediation.This concept of the critic is conformed by his role as a movie spectator, by his position in the cinematographic institution and by his role as the producer of journalistic discourses, contributing for the existence of a specific form of reception and of contact with both his readers and thecinema. |
