Resumo: This research aimed to know the relationship that teenage participants from the 12 years have with ProgramaGenteemPrimeiro Lugar ( People First Program). Therefore is necessary: i) to analyze the compatibility between the educational proposals developed by the program and the motivation and expectations of the parents of the young participants; iii) to analyze if leisure is inserted in the program and in which moments and ways it happens. To achieve the objectives, the Centro Cultural Dnar Rocha (Cultural Center Dnar Rocha) was chosen as a research unit. To achieve the objectives, it was initially performed literature review regarding Social Projects, Leisure and Adolescence. The literature review Indicated the need to expand the topics citizenship, social inclusion / exclusion and vulnerability. Internaldocumentsof Programa Gente em Primeiro Lugar andthe Centro Cultural Dnar Rocha werereviewed. The field study took place in the chosen unit and included participant observation and notes in field diary. A total of 18 interviews were conducted. Of these, 6 were with adolescent participants of the program, 11 with their responsables and 1 with the management of space. The interviews revealed the importance that the program has for these teenagers. On the data presented, it is understood that this research's field still has possibilities for future work by allowing the deepening of discussions about the social projects and leisure.
