Resumo: | Energy consumption of individual buildings is a widely discussed theme and is already part of the scope of standards and labels for energy efficiency in Brazil. However, there are few researches that analyze the consumption of energy by groups of buildings and, from this evaluation, propose more efficient settlements. This work aims to develop a model able to estimate the energy consumption by the residential sector, in different areas inside the city, through the adoption of energy planning methodology. Its object of study is the residential sector of the city of Belo Horizonte, state capital of Minas Gerais. In this model, the household consumption is evaluated apart from the others sectors and the most important variables of consumption behavior are related to the economy. The methodology couples different approaches. Its first step is surveying the ownership of appliances and the socioeconomic profile of households in each region inside de city, through the statisticalanalysis of census data. Then, the average energy consumption is characterized by typical residential equipments. With this data, it is possible to compute the energy consumption by equipment and region. Finally, energy scenarios are developed to predict the urban energy consumption. As a result, maps of energy consumed by end use are presented for the years 1991, 2000, 2007. In addition, scenarios are developed for the municipality seeking to analyze the influence of the consideration of space occupation in energy consumption in the year2030. The consolidation of this work allows its use in local urban planning: improving the quality of life, reducing environmental impact and diversifying sources of energy. Its integration with other methodologies will allow the understanding of other variables that affect the consumption of the buildings, such as weather patterns and urban location. |
