Resumo: | In this thesis, we explain and elucidate how Hans Jonas inherits, diagnoses and works on the problem of nihilism, indicating later on the possibilities of his overcoming. Hans Jonas's general diagnosis of nihilism made him say that there are two dogmas in the contemporary philosophy: metaphysical truth does not exist, and an ought cannot be derived from being. Specifically, we elucidate that Jonas indicates the existence and philosophical consequences of various facets of nihilism through the analysis of three complementary perspectives: the death of God; The rise of new technologies and the crisis of German idealism. To overcome nihilism, Jonas through his philosophical biology creates the concept of heuristics of fear and a new categorical imperative that seeks to metaphysically rescue the Being and then, ethically, the dignity of man reaffirming life. It is a ontological reaffirmation of life in the face of nihilism. |
