Resumo: | NewsFeed through the agencement of the human and non-human actors. Thereby, we look at the NF that is shown in our access to try to understand how and which actors act in the formation and emergence of these textual networks that are part of the construction of meaning in the routine of thousands of Brazilians. To do this, we look for the help of theconcepts elucidated by the Actor Network Theory (ANT), dialoguing with authors such as John Law (1992, 2009), Bruno Latour (2011, 2012) and Michel Callon (1990, 2008). According to Holanda and Lemos (2013), the ANT offers us the possibility of thinking of mediation as a process of displacement and transformation. The methodology we bring to assist us in this process is the mapping method in which the researcher is included in the network and builds a map of relationships from the description of his experience conjoined with the actors he follows. Throughout the work, we have developed a methodology to fulfill our object of study, anchored by the ANTs authors that join the cartographys methodology, and authors like Virginia Kastrup and Regina Benevides Barros (2012), Deleuze and Guattari (1995), Noortje Marres and Esther Weltevrede (2013) and Fernanda Bruno (2012). Theprospect of enabling the insertion of the researcher on his analyzed network was considered essential to our experience, seeing that it is impossible to analyze the connections on Facebook without being inserted into them. The data for the empirical part was gathered from the personal account of the researcher Amanda Jurno, who writes this work, to benefit from her previously established personal connections and simulate a similar experience to that of any user when accessing his profile. For this end we performed two dives in the social network, in randomly chosen weeks, to collect the posts that were used to produce the two cartographies. The first data gathering took place from April 13th to 17th 2015, Monday to Friday, on varied times throughout the day. The second collection was carried out between October 5th and 9th 2015, Monday to Friday, also on varied times and in three different devices - mobile, tablet and computer. After the analysis of the cartographies resulted from these two experiences, we could see how the agency is hybrid on Facebook, how the algorithms play a central role in the exhibition and conformation of our NF and how users act and negotiate with these algorithms in this environment. We realized that the textual networks that emerge from our accesses are influenced by our friends networks and by the algorithms, but also tell much about our own actions on the environment. Finally, we have realized how the agency of the algorithms is obscure, difficult to comprehend and to understand and how Facebook constantly changes its modus operandi, most of the time without notifying its users. |
