Resumo: | Immunity confered by Fuenzalida & Palacios inactivated vaccine and by attenuated strain SAD was evaluated by challenge with six strains of street rabies virus isolated from man, dog, cattle, horse, pig and bat in Minas Gerais between 1993 and 1995. The multiplication and titration of street virus and fixed virus CVS-24 and DR-19 were studied in mice of 21 days. To evaluate the protection confered by vaccines against a challenge with the street and fixed virus, Habel and Koprowski tests were used. The protection confered by Fuenzalida &. Palacios inactivated vaccine and attenuated strain SAD was respectivelly between 70% and 100% and 100%, according with the virus strains used in challenge. |
