The world of business today is contingent on a number of variables andoccurrences that continuously interfere in the direction and strategies adopted to allow the growth and solidification of the enterprises and of the companies. In this world, it urges detect tools and to obtain know-how to allow the makingdecisions with the degree minor of possible uncertainty, seeking the biggest assertivity reachable and the best technology for so much, since the impact of a badly elaborated decision can be indeed negative in fact of a company, with this same the decisive being regarding its survival. In this context, the present work relates a study of case accomplished in the company Telemig Celular, where was investigated the treatment information receive, its flux, the system where it is inserted and retreat/recovered, as well as i its iteration and articipation in the decision process. The making-decision processes, here personified by decisor, was seen here as the great user of the information systems that use in your main structure the databases maids by the organizations. We investigate how these database were developed, to who and with which purpose and, mostly, as they are usedand interfere in fact of the company. Updating and reliability of the information were evaluated together with their users' behavior, as well as the information obtainment forms, the flux of these inside the organization, their storage and finally, their utilization in the decision process of the medium and high management of the organization.The interviews and accomplished observations point to a reality wherepredominates the conscience of the importance of the structured information systems, with update elevated degree and with the input of starting from certain data source, which we use of the front line of the company and another external source, whose credibility was already ascertained. Nevertheless verified itself that for personal source and contacts still are used most in the everyday.
