Sorotipos de Salmonella isolados de concentrado, cama e carcaças de frangos de corte em duas granjas em Goiânia-GO, 1974

Samples of feed, litter, and carcasses were taken from two poultry farms, A+B, and examined for Salmonella. There was significant qualitative similarity among the serotypes of Salmonella identified in the samples of one of the poultry farms. The serotypes of Salmonella identified in the samples from farm a were: S. anatum, S. typhimurium var. copenhagen, S. enteritidez, e S. typhimurium. The occurrence of the Salmonella genus was verified in 23,3% the carcasses from farm A. The serotypes os Salmonella identified in the samples from farm B were: S. haardt, S. oranienburg, S. typhimurium e S. anatum. The occurrence of the Salmonella was observer in 16,7% of the carcasses from farm B. Salmonella appeared in 20% of the 300 carcasses taken from farms A + B. The serotypes S. anatum and S. typhimurium, which were most frequently isolated in the feed, litter, and carcasses samples, are commonly know to cause disease in man.
