Resumo: This research presents modes of constructing everyday life in urban spaces to the detriment of violent practices in urban policies based on white supremacy. In this sense, the study investigates how these policies are established based on processes structured by what Hooks (2022) calls imperialist capitalist white supremacist patriarchy. This condition is historically materialized in the territory and is better understood from the point of view of the re-existence role of the black population upon State actions. The institutionalized action of this population, especially of black women, indicates a possibility of disrupting segregationist urban policies, revealing different ways of managing urban spaces. As a research method, McKittrick's (2021) concept of ambivalence was used through the analysis of processes of clarity and opacity experienced by the black population in three ambivalent dimensions: Ambivalence Being Kilombu, Ambivalence Being Urban Space and Ambivalence Being Institutionality. Based on the Critical Race Theory (CRT), listening and dialogues were also carried out with black women as a methodological tool. The results point to the need to understand the processes of opacity so that the black population can, through its valorization, resist the processes of clarity that guarantee the maintenance of an interconnected system of domination.
