Resumo: | The aim of this PhD dissertation is, taking a multinational database composed by indicators of process capabilities in supply chain management composed by 788 cases approaching participants of companies from USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Chine and Brazil purpose a new nomothetical maturity model for supply chain management. The model development is grounded by the evaluation of the precedence relationships between processes, as well on theidentification of key turning points that could enable a clear distinction about the changing between levels in a maturity scale. The methodology used in this work, divided in three phases, approached quantitative methods aiming to identify indications and the qualitative to further access and judge the quantitative results. The use of the factorial exploratory analysis show itself an important and valuable tool for model generation, enabling the groupings of indicators in constructs that become, later, basic inputs to the forwarding steps of this work. Inorder to identify the key turning points, as well the hierarchical relationships between the process indicators groupings, different approaches for the cluster analysis it was adopted. Aiming to validate the hierarchical relationships, showing the precedence between groupings, the structural equation modeling was used enabling the identification of additional adjustments that were finally validated, afterwards. The results of this work presents, additionally, one advance in the studies about analytics due the evaluation of the relationships between analytics and performance results, especially considering the support provided by theinformation systems and the process orientation as moderators of such relationship. As one out of several possible contributions from this research, suggestions are presented driving the model applicability, based on a conceptual proposal to be used by academics and practitioners concerned with process management in supply chains.. |
