Resumo: | How does a child who belongs to the Brazilian elites take part in the world of the writing? Which way does an individual take, in the early decades of the 20th century, the cultures of the writing, in the chart of a set of familial transmission practices of such cultures? Our purpose, as an achievement of the research presented in this dissertation, was to look for elements which would answer to questions like the ones above. We search, in this way, into the trajectory of development of the Brazilian doctor and writer, who is native of the state of Minas Gerais, Pedro Nava (1903-1984) in the family and in the city. Therefore, we used as main source of the study his work of memoirs, writed and published between the years of 1968 and 1984. We found our monographic study, in the scale of the individual, in works of the field of History, Sociology of the Education, Literary Theory, and Analysis of the Speech. Product of relationships between history and literature, Pedro Navas Memoirs figure as an important manifestation of the trajectory of acculturation of the writer. In relation to the literate world, Nava started his partnership in the cultures of the writing modifying a cultural heritage which was given to him by the family throughout the early decades of the 20th century. In as much in the paternal branch, as in the maternal branch of the family, orality, performance, reading and writing present themselves as the bases of the relationship of Pedro Nava with the cultures of the writing, associated with the urban space, which contributed positively to the intimacy that Nava built up with the literate world. The learning of Pedro Nava of some cultural tastes and preferences, privately in which they refer to the reading and the writing, relate themselves directly to his admiration and affection by some of his parents, as also by his values, behaviour and ways of living. |
